Chronic pain is pain that has persisted for more than three months, and is now affecting a patient's daily life. Conditions We Treat
Freedom's experienced team of clinicians and staff will caringly evaluate and treat all types of chronic pain conditions. Pain can be broadly classified into one or more of the following areas:
- Bone Pain: Affects bones and joints (e.g. broken bone or arthritis) and can be experienced as a deep/internal, penetrating, dull, or aching sensation.
- Muscle Pain: Affects muscles and tissue (e.g. sprains or torn ligaments) and can be experienced as a dull, aching, and tender sensation, usually concentrated in specific areas. When moving, the affected area can feel like stiffness, throbbing, or a burning sensation.
- Nerve (Neuropathic) Pain: Affects skin, sensory system (feelings), movement, and internal functions, and can be experienced as burning, stabbing, or shooting pain, numbness, tingling, muscle weakness, and extreme sensitivity to touch.
