Freedom brings awareness and hope to chronic pain patients

Chronic pain is the largest chronic condition in America

Watch our Founder, Dr. Steven Siwek, explain Freedom's unique solution to chronic pain.

More people suffer with chronic pain than coronary artery disease, diabetes, and cancer combined. This makes chronic pain the largest chronic disease state in America affecting a staggering 100 million people.

So at Freedom, we have dedicated an entire campus with state-of-the-art equipment, built an integrated and collaborative medical team, and, most importantly, we focus on compassionate and individualized healthcare entirely for chronic pain sufferers and their caregivers.

Freedom is a place where modern medicine meets real humanity

The Vision Behind Freedom

Meet Steven Siwek, MD, MBA

For over 25 years Dr. Siwek has been at the forefront of interventional pain management. After completing his residency and fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, he founded The Pain Center of Arizona in 2002, which has helped thousands of patients Get Back Into Life.

In 2024, Dr. Siwek founded Freedom Integrated Healthcare: the first healthcare campus dedicated entirely to the evaluation, research, and treatment of chronic pain. Dr. Siwek's mission is to shift the disease management model in healthcare toward prevention, education, and individualized treatment plans delivered by skilled multidisciplinary teams working in an unified and integrated system.

Today, Dr. Siwek's vision is a reality, and chronic patients from all walks of life and circumstances can experience the hope and compassion offered by Dr. Siwek and the Freedom care team.

More Options for Suffering Patients

Because the opioid crisis devastated individuals, families, and entire communities many chronic pain patients have been labeled with stigmas that can be unhelpful and demeaning to that patient's sense of worth and identity.

As a result, physicians are hesitant and have even backed away from prescribing opioid medication altogether, even for those who legitimately need opioids to manage their chronic pain.

Freedom offers alternative therapies that give patients more choices instead of relying solely on medications. Patients also receive specific education from a skilled and caring medical team.

Watch Rosemarie's Freedom Story

"I couldn't even read because of putting my neck down. Within two days of my procedure I was doing exactly what I was doing before the neck pain started, and maybe even better. I really appreciate Freedom - it has given me freedom!"
